Nothing Says Happy Thanksgiving Like Cheesy Mashed Potatoes!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  I am very thankful for all of my TuTu Cupcake blog readers and clients.  Your enjoyment in what I love to do makes me smile :-)  Even though the pic below isn't of cupcakes I wanted to share with you my cheesy mashed potatoes.  They kick ass!

Would You Like a Cup of Coffee With That Cupcake?

My friend recently invited me over for a game night at her place and asked me to make some cupcakes of my choice.  I wasn't in the mood to bake the same old frosting and cake combo, so I dusted off Martha's Cupcake cookbook and selected something a little different.

I had a taste for something sweet and cinnamon so I experimented with Streusel Cupcakes.

These cupcakes were LOADED with butter and sour cream.  The cake was thick, yet moist, and had a very delicate vanilla flavor.   The streusel topping was rich with a cinnamon crunch, and the icing drizzle packed a perfect punch of sweetness.

Struesel Cupcakes went over well at game night, but it didn't even occur to me until half way through my second bite, these cupcakes are so much better suited for breakfast as they tasted like the perfect coffee cake! I guess the only things missing from our fun game night treats was several hours to sunshine and a good cup of coffee!  (though I am not ashamed to say I washed them down with a few glasses of wine ;-)

Red Velvet & Whipped Cream

This week I had a special anniversary order for Red Velvet cupcakes and Whipped Cream frosting.  What better way to say, "Happy Anniversary!", then with a rich, moist, and velvety cake topped with fresh hand crafted whipped cream?  Here are a few pics of this delicious creation!  Enjoy!
